How To Turn A Hopeless Situation Around Every Time

Hopelessness Is Hope Out of Focus.

It’s perspective. It’s not that hope doesn’t exist; it simply means “lessness” is obstructing hope’s view. To turn a hopeless situation around every time, we must keep the right perspective.

There was a small boy found in the barn digging through a pile of horse poop. He was not just knee-deep; he was all in. When asked why he was digging through the pile of horse poop, the boy replied, “With all of this poop, there has to be a pony in here somewhere.”

Find the Pony in the Poop

Keeping the proper perspective when facing hopeless situations is key to helping us turn them around every time. The main perspective to hold onto during your worse crisis is that, this – whatever it is that’s causing the hopelessness – is for the greater good.

“Og” Mandino, American author of the bestselling book, The Greatest Salesman in the World, wrote:

It is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner.

The sense of #purpose and #meaning during the most difficult times, #empowers us to overcome the problem. Meaning means we don’t take it personal. We realize this is but for a moment, and only for our benefit.

This is not meant to destroy, but define and refine so that you can come out better, stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever before.

Whatever hopeless situation you may be facing right now, hope is not lost, it’s just out of focus. “Lessness” is obstructing your view. Find the pony in the poop. This is not how your story ends. This is making you someone!
