The Awakened Entrepreneur

the awakened2When the entrepreneurs of his day asked him “how,” the Master Teacher, Jesus, told them a story. He gave them a metaphor not a method. Why? Because the secret is in the story.

Entrepreneurs today are much the same; seeking how, “Just the facts ma’am, just the facts,”when we should be seeking why.

Many of today’s hungry entrepreneurs miss the very thing they seek because they fail to see the hidden principle concealed within the proverbial fable.

You shall KNOW truth and truth shall set you free.

You don’t DO truth, you KNOW truth.

Doing is the result of being. Being is not the result of doing.

Why did the Master Teacher give his young business students a metaphor instead of a method? Why didn’t he just give the seekers of his day a step-by-step process they could follow?

So they would search for the answer on their own, and, in turn, become the people that the principle concealed within the metaphor was designed to produce.

The idea, the only idea, that truly changes your life, is the idea you think you came up with on your own. It’s the ah-ha, the epiphany, the awakening that produces change.

You are the highest authority in your life. Others can make suggestions but only you can make change.

Method does change behavior, but only temporarily. Mindset changes behavior permanently, and mindset is attained through awakening and understanding of the metaphor. Once understood, and translated into being, doing comes naturally and success follows.

So the next time you are searching for “best practices” or methods to grow your business, tune into the voice of the one who tells a story. Stay long after everyone else leaves to listen to the one who speaks in metaphors and not so much of methods.

What you’re looking for is hidden; not from you, but for you.

Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you.
